Real sad. I had to rehome my 2 year old Alaskan Malmute, Cody. It's the first time I've ever had to "give" a dog away. And boy was it hard. It's probably a good thing I was not home, cause I was crying all the way home, and have been off and on.

See, we took Cody in a couple years ago, and things were really good. Then we moved, and there wasn't a yard, and I spent most of my time in the car going or coming from work or school. And so poor Cody was left alone. And it wasn't fair to him, plus, he's got tons of puppy left in him.
Anyhow, I had been placing ads on www.craigslist.org, and had a few people inquire, but then they would usually stop. Till this past weekend. Jon (Cody's new dad) emailed. Asked a few questions via email, and then wanted to meet him. I got stuck at school, but Jon and his friends came out this evening and met Cody and Chris.
And sure enough, it was love at first sight. Chris said it didn't seem to phase Cody that he was leaving with someone new. Makes me sad, but also happy. All I want is what's best for Cody.
Jon said I could come visit, he also said Cody would be a job site dog, so he'd be with him all day. Which is good. Another good thing is Alaskan Malmute's are "love the one your with" kind of dogs. So they adopt out really good.
My dearest Cody ~ love you bunches & will always remember our good times.
