Monday Mouse Stories

You may or may not know, but Chris have had some UNWANTED house guests. These house guests are in the shape for small, 4-legged little creatures, with long tails and annoying little habits. So much for the toliet seat up or down, these guys go where ever they want. Yes, you might have guessed it, we have mice!

Now, I'm not one to cause harm to many things. I even let one go about 2 weeks ago when we found it in the trash can. Thought the little guy came running in when we were BBQing .. boy, was I wrong. They've moved in and set up camp. Well, not for long.

I did some reading on the internet, and the pesky little boogers, don't like mint or steel wool. So all the holes in my kitchen are plugged with steel wool soaked in mint mouth wash (it was the only mint thing I had). Not that I have a lot of holes, but the one's that were left behind the cabinets for water and gas.

We also got some traps - don't use the glue ones. They don't work. The little stinker pushed it around, but never sat or stood on it, but we did get another type and that one worked. It's ran from batteries and it gives the little guy a shock and they die. Again, was not my first choice - but this family of rodents, came into my home, and they have been eating my peanut butter crackers - so that had to come to an end.

I believe my dog (Coupe) might have given another a heart attack. We came home Saturday night and he would not come in from the garage, which is rather strange for him, so I went to see what he was going crazy about, sure enough, he had one pinned between the wall and the side of the garage door - poor little thing had no where to go! I grabbed Coupe and opened the garage door and out he ran .. perhaps he'll spread the word, that this hotel is closed!
